Indonesia to Build New Hospital for Women and Children in Gaza

Indonesia is set to build a new women’s and children’s hospital in Gaza City to provide much-needed healthcare services. Funded by Indonesian NGOs and public donations, this project aims to help thousands of victims suffering due to the ongoing crisis. The 5,000 square meter hospital will be located in the Nasser neighbourhood and constructed with the support of Palestine’s Ministry of Health.

✅ Hospital to Be Built with Indonesian Support
- The Indonesian Mother and Child Hospital (RSIA Indonesia) will be the second Indonesian-funded hospital in Gaza after the Indonesia Hospital in the north which has been operational since 2015.
- This 24.5 million dollar (402 billion rupiah) project is led by Aqsa Working Group and Maemuna Center Indonesia with backing from Indonesia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

- The hospital will be built near Al-Rantisi Hospital on land donated by the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
- It aims to provide medical aid to women and children who make up a large portion of casualties in the ongoing conflict.

- Since October 2023, the Indonesia Hospital in North Gaza has been one of the last functioning medical centers amid ongoing attacks.
